A Year of ATCs? - Day 202

Today I am up to Day 202 of my 'Year of ATCs?'

Today my ATC celebrates Jane Austen.

This post recognises the 200th anniversary of her death - she died on 18/7/1817 in Winchester aged 41, and was buried on 24/7/1817 in Winchester Cathedral.

Almost exactly a year ago I visited Chawton House in Chawton, Hampshire.
This was where Jane Austen lived for the last 8 years of her life and it was here that she prepared all her manuscripts for publication. The first, 'Sense and Sensibility', was published in 1811 'by a Lady'
The portrait of Jane Austen on my ATC came from literature from Chawton House.

The ATC comprises a scrap of gelli plate background followed by a rectangle of writing - taken from an image of a letter written by Jane Austen to her sister Cassandra.

I then added the portrait and the quote from 'Sense and Sensibility'.

 Happy Crafting!
